Hold your breath and count…

Alongside all the work, there’s still time to play a bit too…  I’m always on the lookout for things that make me smile or think (like this motor bike brand in Port au Prince…),

and always have a number of things rolling on the personal pages on my website.  One of the longest ongoing little projects there is the ‘count‘ story, which is a collection of found numbers, ranging from street signs and graffiti to menus and birthday candles.  It started in Bangkok one very wet day about four years ago, and has developed into what will become a Blurb book running from 0 to 100 (I’ve got numbers beyond that, but am resisting the urgings of one member of my family to keep going to 100,000…).

The very exciting news (for me – I’m fully aware that no-one else is holding their breath for this…) is that I’m up to fifty now without a break, and the gaps between there and 100 are few and far between.  Which means that in the prescient words of a great B(P)ritish leader, I may soon ‘get my life back’.

Here’s some of the recent pics from ‘count‘, ‘pissed off‘ (my thrilling toilet/architecture/government cuts hybrid), ‘view with a room‘ and ‘light of the world‘.  This gallery doesn’t have captions, so feel free to interpret these however you like. Check out the web pages too…
