Haiti: Beyond the Rubble exhibition – 14

Port au Prince sits on a plain surrounded by steep hills.  The infrastructure of the city is possibly best described as patchy – though commentary in some newspapers that described the city as ‘literally flattened’ were wide of the mark.  Electricity supplies were functioning again soon after the earthquake, and main thoroughfares were cleared for traffic – inevitably though, it is still possible to be stuck for hours at rush hour.
