Haiti: Beyond the Rubble exhibition – 23

During the earthquake, Benito’s home collapsed – he lost his business and the only source of income for his family.  He lives in Borgnotte, a small village near Léogâne that was cut off when the road to it was blocked by quake debris. Tearfund has ran a cash-for-work programme, paying local people to make the village accessible again. Benito has also received seeds and farming tools and is now growing his own food so he does not have to rely on relatives and neighbours for survival.

The Tearfund photographic exhibition ‘Haiti: Beyond the Rubble’ runs at Central Hall Westminster from 1-30 June 2011.  For further details, please contact me.
