Haiti: Beyond the Rubble exhibition – 26

Marie Dorceus survived the earthquake along with the 27 members of her family who now all live together in the same house in Port au Prince.

‘We grieve because I lost a niece in the earthquake but we rejoice because so many of us survived.’

Tearfund gave Marie a grant which enabled her to open her own beauty salon. ‘I do everything: manicures, pedicures, hair-straightening, hair-dyeing, perming.’

The Tearfund photographic exhibition ‘Haiti: Beyond the Rubble’ runs at Central Hall Westminster from 1-30 June 2011.  For further details, please contact me.
