Haiti: Beyond the Rubble exhibition – official invite

The whole point of an exhibition is to see it (obviously). So please, come and see the Tearfund ‘Haiti: Beyond the Rubble’ exhibition at Central Hall Westminster.  It opens today, and is open most days between now and the 30 June.  There’s an official launch event next Tuesday (7 June) at 4pm, and I’ll be around for quite a bit of the afternoon and evening, if you want to meet up for a chat.  Apologies if you’ve not had a personal invite yet – I’ve invited a lot of people, but some have slipped through.  You’re still welcome to come along!

The reason for having an exhibition at this point is that Haiti has slipped very easily from our attention, and for the people affected by the earthquake, the effects will continue for years and years to come.  Tearfund and the other NGOs working there are committed to long term involvement – these pictures are designed to introduce you to some of the real people involved, and prompt a response in some way, even if it’s only to remember.

If you’re able to come, do let Holly or me know – it’d be great to see you there.

You're welcome...

The Tearfund photographic exhibition ‘Haiti: Beyond the Rubble’ runs at Central Hall Westminster from 1-30 June 2011.  For further details, please contact me.
