Haiti: Beyond the Rubble exhibition – 36

Iselene Celne lost both hands and an arm when she was trapped under rubble during the Port-au-Prince earthquake in January 2010. Disabled and homeless, she had to move into a tent in a camp in the centre of Port-au-Prince where she prayed every day to be released from her suffering.

Tearfund partner World Concern met with Iselene and gave her a cash grant of about  US$100 which enabled her to start up her own business and earn money to look after her family. With the support of World Concern workers and her family, Iselene is slowly rebuilding her life and looking forward to the future with more hope.
