Haiti: Beyond the Rubble exhibition – gallery
The ‘Haiti: Beyond the Rubble’ exhibition is on until the end of June 2011 at Central Hall Westminster. The previous posts contain the individual images with their captions and stories – there’s a gallery here containing the complete set of pictures.
I hope they’ve been thought provoking and interesting – the whole aim was to show some of the stories and lives of people who’d survived the earthquake, hear a little of how they’re coping with the loss they’ve been through, and see how they’re starting to rebuild their lives and regain hope.
I’d particularly like to thank the two Tearfund journalists I travelled with, Esther Williams and Lynsey Pollard, and the Tearfund staff in Haiti, both Haitian and international, who put up with us during some very intense working conditions. Special thanks are due to Jean-Claude Cerin, Tearfund’s country representative in Haiti – a truly wonderful man – thank you.
And also to all at Tearfund who have supported this work and exhibition – Holly, Clive, Tim and especially Louise, who is a fantastic editor – thanks.
