The High Life – Hawes

The wonderful Chapel Gallery opens in Hawes, Wensleydale tomorrow, run by my excellent friends Tim and Anne Smithies.

As part of the opening they’re hosting a mini exhibition called ‘The High Life‘, which is the beginning of what will hopefully be an ongoing body of my work documenting life in the highest market town in Yorkshire.

I’ve spent two stunning days in Hawes recently, producing the first series of twenty portraits and images – I’ll post the full set over the weekend, but here’s a couple as tasters.

The gallery itself is lovely – it looks fantastic inside, and Anne’s art work is brilliant – if you’re anywhere up in North Yorkshire over the Easter break, drop by and say hello. The coffee’s pretty good too apparently…
