The great Sheffield flood (that never quite was…)

Earlier in July, we had a massive amount of rain (you might even remember it… Wet stuff, falls from the sky in bucket loads – easy to forget when it’s as glorious as today).  I went out for a walk to see what was going on with Huw, and this is what we saw (ie close, but not quite, to the great Sheffield flood…).

Footbridge near Riverside pub

Back of the Riverside pub :: floating artwork…

Lady’s Bridge (there’s a song in there somewhere…)

Standing on Lady’s Bridge, looking at the view…

Close, but… Blonk St crossing the river.

And a random piece of street messaging. Which may or may not be relevant in this case.

Here’s the full gallery, with a few more pictures.
