I don’t photograph loads of weddings, but I do enjoy the ones I do! A couple of months ago I had an amazing weekend trip to Matwil and Lake Constance in Switzerland to photograph Timon and Jen’s wedding. The weather was glorious, the setting was beautiful, and it was a real joy to be part of their day.
This was truly international – American, Swiss (via Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea), South African, New Zealand (and me…), and the blend of cultures through the day added hugely to the celebration.
This was the second ‘weekend wedding’ that I’ve done (there’s a bit about the one I did in Crete here), where I’ve flown out on a Friday night, documented the whole day on the Saturday and flown home on the Sunday, and it seems to work really well. And great fun too…
