Twenty :: Mexico

‘Twenty’ part 24 :: Mexico 1994

Twenty‘ is an occasional series marking the first twenty years of my work as a professional photographer.

It’s a long time ago, but a very memorable trip. Tearfund were partnering with Armonia (as I wrote about earlier in this series), working in some of the poorest parts of Mexico City.  It was a fantastic project, full of detailed, compassionate and dignified ways of working with some of the poorest residents of the largest city I’d visited up to that point. Flying in, as we banked and twisted towards the airport, it was literally spread to each horizon, quite breathtaking.
